Several of Bierstadt's paintings were on display at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts exhibit of American painters. As I viewed the painting of the sun shining through the canyon (Yosemite), I wondered how any human could have possibly captured such a glorious scene. Thank you for this marvelous Web site.
